MEET THE WIM FOUNDER
First Lady Barbara T. Lockett is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, where she assisted her husband, the late Bishop Otis Lockett, Sr., and now she assists her son, Superintendent Otis Lockett, Jr., in ministry at the Evangel Fellowship Church of God in Christ and Zion Place Ministries. Most recently, Lady Lockett was appointed by Bishop Stenneth E. Powell to the position of Assistant State Supervisor of the Women’s Department of North Carolina Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ.
In 2004, she founded WIM (Women in Ministry), a thriving ministry that brings together women from various churches and denominations for the purpose of enriching lives through prayer, the Word, and fellowship. Lady Barbara Lockett shares the gospel with a practical presentation and communicates with unmistakable clarity as she continues to motivate and challenge people from every walk of life to strive for excellence in every area of their lives.
